Heart Attack and Recovery

July 30, 2008:
Well, George's Mom had a heart attack on Thursday. They gave her some medicine to thin her blood out and admitted her. They took a Heart Catherization on Thursday afternoon. Dr. Walker came out and showed us her heart chart.  There was 50-80% blockage in all the veins. They scheduled a by-pass for Monday and put her in a room. We stayed and got her settled and she wasn't feeling very good and she was throwing up and could not sit up for 6 hours. She had to lay flat that long. We went home about 6pm. This all started at about 10am.
Let me give some background here:
Jessica started feeling bad on Tuesday and couldn't eat or sleep. She called in sick to work on Wednesday, which would have been a red flag if we had known. She was also making sure the neighbors left her alone by staying in her normal routine. By Thursday morning, she thought she had the flu cause she started throwing up. She finally called her Dr. Then called George to take her to the hospital.
Jessica is 76 years old and works full time. She should make a complete recovery and resume her normal life in about 8 weeks. This blog is going to chronicle her recovery. I will update it as often as possible with how it's going and with the little helpful hints and ideas that people have given us does  help a lot ( as I have found out already).
I will update daily hopefully....Candi
